For the second year in a row, the number “26.2” has a special significance to Agility Solutions. On May 15, 2017, Agility Solutions had two teams start at the Corporate Cup Relay of the Colfax Marathon.
In its 11th year, the Colfax Marathon is Denver’s only marathon, taking runners on a tour of the city, including through the Denver Zoo for those running the half marathon. Agility participated in the marathon relay, in which teams of five runners work together to complete the arduous 26.2-mile race. The marathon is divided into five legs, ranging from 3.5 miles to 6.5 miles. This year, relay runners made up the bulk of people running in the Colfax Marathon, attracting some 6,375 participants, compared to the 1,750 registrants for the full marathon, 5,650 for the half marathon, and 1,275 for the 10-miler.
Each leg of the Corporate Cup Relay brings runners through some of the Mile High City’s most iconic areas, from City Park to Mile High Stadium, Sloan’s Lake, LoDo, and through the neighborhoods around Colfax Avenue. The two teams from Agility Solutions posted clock times of 3:58:35, and 4:31:43 – which are quite impressive times, given Denver’s hilly and uneven terrain.
Congratulations to Keri, Dani, Rachel, Elliot, Emily, Tyler, Tommy, Liam, Chris, and Greg for finishing this year’s race!
